First significant mountain snow event of the cold season arrives Friday Night. Look for either a Winter Weather Advisory or maybe even a Winter Storm Watch to be issued for Friday Night through Saturday. Mountains first call accumulations are 2 - 5 inches.... Rain showers could mix with or change to periods of wet snow or grauple across the Foothills and NW Piedmont of NC Saturday Morning. At this time accumulations are only expected to be a trace to 1inch at most. Higher end totals will be limited to the Eastern slope of the Blue Ridge.
